Southtech Limited is located in Dhaka, the capital city of Bangladesh. Bangladesh is located between India and Myanmar in South Asia. Our company is conveniently positioned a few minutes away from the Dhaka International Airport, major hotels and business district.

Southtech currently employs approximately 215 full time professionals, with 85% of our team directly responsible for development and service delivery.

The company has been operating profitably from the first year of operation and growth rate has been more than 20%. Southtech has no liability or debt to banks or financial institutions. It has successfully managed and financed all its projects either from initial investment or retained earnings.

Yes, we undertake fixed price contracts as well as Time & Material based contracts.

11. What's the minimum size of projects Southtech undertakes?

Southtech prefers to undertake projects that require at least 6 man-months of effort. However, we are fairly flexible to entertain smaller projects that eventually lead to larger projects. We undertake all projects with full & equal attention.

12. What kind of infrastructure does Southtech have?

Over the years, Southtech has invested substantially on its infrastructure. The following will provide an overview.

13. What kind of data security measures does Southtech take?

Southtech has a dedicated and highly secure server room where 11 servers are located. Programs and data are automatically backed up daily. Our servers are configured with RAID 5 controllers. The floppy disk drives have been disabled in all PCs to protect against virus attacks. Southtech's company-wide LAN is not connected to the Internet for added security. Well established and strictly enforced policies have been implemented for internal data transferring and data copying.

14. How does Southtech ensure quality?

Southtech is an ISO 9001: 2000 certified company for software analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, maintenance and sales. Our underwriter is United Registered Services (URS), a company based in the United Kingdom. Our processes are subject to frequent reviews and internal quarterly audits. Each project team has its own Quality Assurance (QA) Tester, in addition to a centrally managed independent QA Team.

As a company we are committed to quality in every aspect of our dealings; as a policy statement, Southtech is already committed in achieving CMMI Level 3 before September 2008. In line with our declared policy, most of our development and testing methods already follow industry standard metrics allowing us to measure our performance and progress.

15. Can Southtech set up an exclusive development team for us?
