BDFCL to install Southtech MBS
Bhutan Development Finance Corporation Limited (BDFCL),
a government-owned development finance institution in the Kingdom of Bhutan
that promotes and finances industrial, agricultural and commercial enterprises
in the Kingdom has signed an agreement on 31 July 2005 with Southtech
Limited to automate their head office and twenty three branches with Southtech’s
high-end banking solution, Southtech MBS.
The agreement was signed at Southtech’s corporate
office in Uttara by BDFCL’s Managing Director, Mr. Nawang Gyetse
and Southtech’s Managing Director, Mr. Syed Mamnun Quader. The signing
ceremony was graced by the Ambassador of Bhutan in Bangladesh, His Excellency
Mr. Dasho Jigme Tshultim and Southtech’s Chairman, Mr. Syed Maqbul
Quader.
The Ambassador stressed the importance of promoting business
between the SAARC countries and noted that this agreement marked an important
milestone in further strengthening the business ties between the two friendly
countries.
